Brickwork & Repointing
New brick, matched repairs, chimneys and tuckpointing. We source brick that reads with what is already on the building instead of patching it with whatever is in stock.

Historic Restoration
Historic homes get careful, meticulous work. We preserve the original brick, stone and detail that give the house its character, while quietly bringing it up to modern standards underneath.

Foundations & Block Work
Block walls, foundation repair, parging and structural openings. The part of the house nobody photographs, built so you never have to think about it again.

Turnkey Foundations
We mark out the locations, excavate to plan, pour the footings, install the foundation walls, then waterproof and lay drainage tile around the footprint so it never floods. Backfilled and handed over ready to start framing.

Tile & Bathrooms
Full bathroom builds, tile, shower systems and waterproofing. We check the floor framing for the weight of a tub or a shower before a single tile gets set.

Hardscaping & Outdoor Living
Patios, walkways, steps, fire pits and retaining walls. Laid on a base built for Ontario freeze and thaw, so the surface is still flat in year ten.

Construction for businesses and commercial properties, from storefront masonry and facades to renovations and new builds. Scheduled around your operation, so the work gets done without shutting the business down.

We catch what the drawing hides
Twenty years on site means we spot what a drawing hides. Floor joists under a heavy tub, an HVAC run in the way of a new wall, a drain that will not fall where the plan says it should.
We handle most of the work in house rather than handing it to a stranger, unless an engineer or a ticketed trade is genuinely required. And we clean up every day. No matter how good the workmanship is, a messy site is what the client remembers.

How a Strongback job runs
Four stages, no surprises in the middle of them.

Consultation
We walk the site and tell you what the job actually needs. Small projects are free. Larger ones carry a small fee that comes off the final bill.

Project Plan
Every job is assessed on its own scope. We run through exactly what the work you hired us for entails, stage by stage, and build a plan for that project that closes off any shortcomings before anything is ordered.
03
Build
Our own crew does the work. We only bring in outside trades when an engineer or a ticketed trade is required by code.
04
Handover
We walk the finished work with you, leave the site clean, and back the job with a written warranty.
